  • Welcome to A Tail Of 4 Paws

    I am a qualified groomer who has been grooming professionally since 2008.

    I welcome all breeds of dogs, from the teeny tiny Chihuahuas, to the gentle giants. Whether hairless, or extra hairy, they all receive a bespoke grooming treatment and are looked after with the upmost care, as if they are my own.

    I am also qualified in Canine Massage and treatments can be tailored to your dogs needs. These can be incorporated into your grooming session, or a separate appointment can be made.

  • Services

    All dog’s are groomed to breed standard, or to your individual requirements.

    Full grooms include;
       - Bath, condition and blow dry
       - A clip, hand scissor or Hand Strip to breed standard, or to your individual requirements
       - Nail clip
       - Ears cleaned
       - Every groom is finished with a spritz of finishing spray, and a bow (got to have a bow!)

    Anal glands – If you become aware your dog has started to chew at its backend, or scooting along the floor these can be signs of impacted glands. Let me know when you drop your dog off and I can express these for you to clear the problem.

    Express wash – Perfect for those muddy day’s in-between grooms!

    Puppy Pamper – It is beneficial for your puppy to be introduced to grooming at an early age so they can get used to the sounds and smells of the parlour. Your puppy will be treated with care and plenty of cuddles so it is a pleasant experience.

    Puppy pampers include;
       - Bath and dry
       - Nail clip
       - Trim around the eyes, feet and sanitary area.

    All grooms include a deep and thorough scrub in the bath using a shampoo especially suited to your dog’s coat and skin type,
    For example;
       - Wahl Dirty Beastie – For extra dirty dogs!
       - Colour enriching – Black, copper and white
       - Sensitive – Tea tree, Oatmeal and evening primrose
       - Conditioner – For a dry, damaged coat

    Health checks are also an important part of the unique service with owner’s reassurance their four legged friends eyes, teeth, skin and coats will be assessed at each and every visit.

    Canine Massage also available.
    Whether your dog is stiff from old age, or recovering after an operation, a massage treatment can be tailored to your requirements.
    What a canine massage can do;
       - Decrease pain, soreness and stiffness
       - Restore supple muscle tone
       - Increase circulation and oxygenation to the cells of the body
       - Improve muscle function
       - Increase flexibility and range of motion

  • About The Team

    The Groomer Candy

    I have been animal mad since I was little, so working with them seemed inevitable!

    From hamsters, budgies, ferrets and chickens, to cats, dogs and horses, I have never had a quiet life when it comes to animals but I certainly wouldn’t have it any other way!

    I received my City & Guilds Dog Grooming qualification in 2008. I then went on to study for my Dog Grooming professional Diploma.

    I have since qualified in Canine Massage and natural healing techniques for animals, Canine First Aid and Level 3 Animal Psychology.

    Animals have been, and will always be my life, so I guarantee your dogs will always be in safe hands xx

    Qualifications :-
       - Writtle College Dog Grooming level 2 City & Guilds
       - Stonebridge College Dog Grooming Professional diploma
       - Canine First Aid Diploma
       - Canine Massage and Animal Healing techniques Diploma

    Crumpet Mascot No. 1!

    Here is my cheeky 8 month old Jack Russell Crumpet. She is always into mischief and is usually doing something she is not allowed to do!

    Twiglet is her absolute hero! Crumpet will follow her (whilst annoying her!) everywhere.

    Twiglet Mascot No. 2!

    Twiglet is just a fabulous Jack Russell!

    She is 11 years young, and never acts her age.

    She does try and keep up with Crumpet, but is a bit slower now...but that certainly doesn’t stop her from trying!

    The Equipment

    A Tail Of 4 Paws has been equipped with all top of the range equipment, creating a safe, clean environment.

    Every dog is hand dried, so no drying cabinets are used.

    The bath has steps to help large and old dogs get into the bath without any difficulties.

    The table lowers right to the ground so dog’s can step on and off it easily.

    The Parlour

    The Parlour has been built with a spacious grooming area, with large windows to let in natural light to make it a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
